Many school districts are already planning for Tuesday morning when freezing rain and cold temperaturs could be a real problem.
The Dallas district confirms it'll be open today but administrators are monitoring conditions for the rest of the week. They stress that students need to dress in warm clothes.
Fort Worth school administrators say they will make school closing or late start decisions by 5 a.m. or 5:30 a.m. to give parents time to make arrangements.
The Crowley district says it will open buildings early to keep kids from spending much time outside. Also, buses will be fully heated by the time students climb aboard.
