TALTY (KRLD) - Two children are in the care of relatives after being found in a home in Talty -- with the body of an elderly woman.
The children had not been in school all week and by Friday teachers at their Forney school were growing increasingly alarmed. They asked police to check on the home.
When officers went inside, they found the children apparently unharmed. But they also found the woman was dead although they're not saying how she died.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner will be doing an autopsy but investigators do not believe there was any crime.
They think the children -- ages six and seven -- had been fending for themselves since the Sunday before.
