Two teenagers are locked up in Fort Worth after exchanging gunshots with an apartment complex maintenance man.

It all began late Tuesday afternoon when the teenagers and the maintenance man shot at one another from two positions on either side of Calmont Avenue near Cherry Lane in far west Fort Worth.

Police say it started as a domestic dispute at the Cambridge Court Apartments -- though they have not said how the maintenance man became involved.

Police captured the teenagers, but believed a third teen might have been hiding out with his girlfriend in an apartment unit.

The SWAT team waited for hours, trying to establish communications. But late Tuesday night, they determined the apartment was, in fact, empty and they cleared the scene.

No injuries were reported.
