A pregnant Dallas woman is receiving treatment for dog bites on her arms and her hands after she was viciously attacked in her apartment complex.
Reports say Reyna Gutierrez, said to be seven months pregnant, was severely bitten in the parking lot of her apartment complex the Tides at Highland Meadows in northeast Dallas.
Doorbell camera video caught the whole thing. It shows Gutierrez and her two children walking near their unit when a dog runs from across the parking lot and attacks her.
She tries to fight off the dog for nearly 20 seconds and her panicked screams are heard by a man on the far side of the parking lot. He sprints over to save her and the dog turns on him for about eight or ten seconds while Gutierrez retreats with her children to their apartment.
The Good Samaritan managed to fight off the dog and a man who may be the dog's owner calmly walks up, takes the dog's leash and without so much as a second glance strolls off while Guttierrez is still sobbing near her doorway.
The family says they believe the dog owner lives in the complex but they don't know him or which unit he lives in.
Gutierrez was taken to the hospital for treatment of the bites on both her hands and forearms, Dallas Police said.
Dallas Police are investigating the attack.
