Cotton candy is just pure sugar, so when you eat it, you can probably expect a little sugar rush to take over your body.
Some cotton candy found at the Texas-Mexico border will provide a different sort of rush, however.
37 pounds of cocaine hidden in cotton candy was recently seized at the Texas-Mexico border. According to MySA.com, the drugs had a combined street value of $496,879.
Border authorities seized the drugs, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are now investigating the seizure.
Albert Flores, the port director for Laredo Port of Entry, said in a release, “Our frontline officers continue to maintain resolute vigilance and that dedication to the mission coupled with an effective use of technology resulted in the interception of a significant amount of cocaine.
“Seizures like these reinforce the importance and necessity of our ongoing border security mission.”
