After a pleasant weekend, the weather forecast for this week appears favorable, with seasonable temperatures and no precipitation anticipated. Those are the key weather highlights for the next seven days.
Good morning, and welcome to Monday. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Temperatures were near seasonal averages. Currently, temperatures range from 28°F to 37°F, with clouds gradually moving in from the southwest. A strong upper-level disturbance from Mexico will spread clouds overhead later today through the first half of tomorrow. Unfortunately, this system will not bring any precipitation due to the dry air it will encounter. However, it will bring lower-elevation showers and higher-elevation snow to western Texas late this evening and early tomorrow. Although there may be scattered showers across South Texas, they will not be significant.
This afternoon's temperatures will reach the low 60s, followed by upper 30s to low 40s tonight. Partly cloudy conditions are expected on Tuesday, with mid-to-upper 60s temperatures.
Our next cold front will arrive on Wednesday, unfortunately without rain. High temperatures will reach the low 60s. Thursday will be slightly cooler, with sunshine and mid-to-upper 50s temperatures. We will return to near 60°F on Friday and then back to the 50s over the weekend, with another dry cold front expected to move into the area late Friday.
I hope everyone has a great day today and enjoys the weather while it lasts.
