"Maybe you didn't hear about it, you've been away a long time. They didn't go up there and tell you..." but it seems cool crooner Tony Bennett is not a fan of the way Italians are portrayed as criminals in popular Martin Scorsese mob flicks the likes of Goodfellas and Casino.

Lady Gaga has been Tony's right-hand woman during his final tour, as well as during the revelation that his 2016 Parkinson's diagnosis had recently become more of a struggle. Speaking with Ridley Scott at a screening of their new film, House Of Gucci, Gaga dropped the dime on Bennett's views.

Apparently, the 95-year-old singer “famously talks about his distaste for Marty Scorsese’s films,” Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, told Scott.

She added that Bennett has expressed to her, a fellow Italian-American, “how much he dislikes the way that Italians are portrayed in crime." Although, she was sure to clarify that Tony "does not fully talk to me about this right now," because of his struggle with Alzheimer's, "which is probably best for me, but I’ve tried to explain it to him.”

Bennett, born Anthony Dominick Benedetto, released his final album, Love For Sale, marking his second collaboration with Lady Gaga, back in September of 2021.
