The Reckless album was produced by Sadler Vaden, guitarist for Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, who can also be seen backing Wade during her performance of “Wilder Days.”
Wade recently celebrated a “pinch me” moment when she tweeted a photo she screenshot from a video posted by Courtney Love that shows the Reckless album cover in Love’s Apple library.
“Courtney Love has been listening to Reckless.” Wade posted on Twitter along with the screenshot. “Or at least accidentally clicked on it. Either way, she’s looked at me once.”
The debut album marks an important milestone for the Virginia native, as it’s something she’s been working towards since she started her journey to sobriety in 2017. Her efforts have proven successful, as she is in her third year of being sober and as a result finds her music and songwriting even more vulnerable than it’s been before.
Wade released an official music video for “Wilder Days,” the lead track off of the album last month. Directed by John Mason alongside director of photography, Peter Leininger which the video brings the song to life with scenes from downtown Nashville and well-known bar “Santa’s Pub,” housed in a double-wide trailer that is a familiar stomping grounds for many Music city artists.
