The Padres came from behind to defeat the Diamondbacks 6-4 in Mexico City on Saturday afternoon. After allowing 4 runs in the 2nd inning, German Marquez found his footing and was able to pitch 4 scoreless frames afterwards, keeping the Padres in the game. Ty France put the Padres on the board with a solo homer in the 5th inning. The 7th inning was when the Padres made their move, when Gavin Sheets ripped a single down the right field line with the bases loaded to plate two runs. Freddy Fermin hit a sac-fly to bring in Xander Bogaerts and tie the game, and then Ramon Laureano hit a sac-fly of his own to bring in Sheets for the first lead of the game for the Padres. France added an insurance run in the 9th inning with his second solo homer of the game. Mason Miller entered the game in the 9th inning tied with Cla Meredith for the franchise's all-time consecutive scoreless innings streak, and etched his name in Padres history with a 1-2-3 inning to break and extend the record, which will continue to grow until he allows a run. Michael King will take the mound for the Padres in the final game in Mexico City on Sunday.
