      Sabrina Boyd-Surka

      Sabrina Boyd-Surka

Sabrina Boyd-Surka joined KYW Newsradio as a podcast producer in August 2021. She’s part of the team behind KYW original podcasts like The Jawncast and In Depth.

Prior to her role here, she worked at WHYY, where she was a producer for their local news podcast, The Why, and the voice of their on-air sponsorships. She is a graduate of Brown University, and she launched her radio career as a DJ and Music Director at 95.5 WBRU in Providence, RI. She then went to WFNX in Boston, where she helped transition the station from a traditional broadcast to online streaming. During her time there, her afternoon show held the most listened-to hours on the stream.

While continuing to work part-time at Radio 92.9 and CBS Radio Boston, Sabrina completed her Master’s degree at Northeastern University. She took a brief sidestep into the music business at Universal Music Group Nashville, but she could never resist the pull of radio. She was back on air i106.7 in Nashville until she moved to Philadelphia.

When the headphones are off, Sabrina spends her time performing in and designing sound for community theater and watching TV with her husband and her two cats, Bowie and Isaac.
