PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Firefighters swiftly extinguished a fire on the roof deck of an Old City apartment building Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. at an apartment building on Front Street, right off of Callowhill Street. Flames were shooting out from the top of the building.

“When I got out front, the entire top floor of this five-story unit was engulfed in flames. It was the penthouse unit,” said Tony Soprano, a neighbor.

Fire crews rushed over to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
