It’s been just over two weeks since the death of former One Direction member, Liam Payne, and friends, family, and fans are feeling extra heavy as Payne was set to release a new single with Sam Pounds this week.

Pounds, who recorded the single, “Do No Wrong,” featuring Payne had originally planned to debut the track this Friday (11/1), but has now decided to postpone its release to allow Liam’s loved ones to mourn “in peace and prayer.” He took to social media to share the news with fans on Tuesday evening.
“Today I am deciding to hold, ‘Do No Wrong,’ and leave those liberties up to all family members,” he explained. “I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire).”
He continued, “Even though we all love the song, it’s not time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam and I want the family to mourn in peace and prayer. We will all wait. With love, Sam Pounds.”
Prior to announcing the postponement of the song, Pounds took to social media to share his deep pain following Liam’s death writing, “I can’t believe you are gone in this way. This is how I’ll always remember brother,” he wrote alongside several clips of their time together.
“The happy, funny, and talented brother, father, and friend. Praying for my sweet kind sister [Ruth Gibbons - Liam’s sister] we love you. [Bonnor Butler - Producer] my guy praying for you as well. We made some awesome and beautiful music together that will live on forever. Love you [Liam Payne] bro! RIP.”
Liam Payne passed October 16 after a fall from his hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The former One Direction member was found on the deck of the Casa Sur hotel, according to reports, with emergency services on the scene but unable to revive him.
Witnesses report Liam had been acting erratic in the lobby earlier in the day -- allegedly breaking a laptop, and needing to be carried back to his room. Payne had been in Argentina to attend a concert for former 1D bandmate Niall Horan earlier this month, where the pair reunited.
