The ‘ER’ cast, ranked by net worth

We’ve got to cut off the list somewhere, so $6 million seems like a nice round figure. While many beloved cast members made millions below this threshold, Alex Kingston as Elizabeth Corday, CCH Pounder as Angela Hicks, Jorja Fox as Maggie Doyle all worked their way up into the upper echelons of the “ER” net worths.

Over her two separate runs on the show (Seasons 1-3 and then again 8-12), Stringfield earned a bundle as Dr. Susan Lewis, though she was most compelling as an original cast member at the beginning.

Though Sam Taggart and Lucien Dubenko were very different characters, their portrayers, Linda Cardellini and Leland Orser generally appeared over the same seasons, earning them about equal fortunes in the end.

Abby Lockhart, played by Maura Tierney, was the third-longest running character on “ER,” lasting from seasons 6 through 14, giving fans plenty of drama along the way.

Julianna Margulies’ Carol Hathaway was a favorite from the original cast. After some minor films, she went on to star in “The Good Wife,” bringing her total fortune up to $22 million.

Another odd couple of characters, fun (at first) John Carter and serious Peter Benton helped power the show through the first many seasons, bringing them each up to a quarter of $100 million for their work.

Along with his role as the “ER” protagonist Mark Greene, Anthony Edwards has also starred in a bunch of major motion pictures, including “Top Gun,” “Zodiac," and "Revenge of the Nerds.”

William H. Macy played the big boss, David Morgenstern, for the first four seasons of “ER,” but he went on to amass quite a bit of wealth from roles in “Shameless,” as well as films like “Mystery Men” and “The Lincoln Lawyer.”

You wouldn’t expect anyone else at the top. George Clooney is, well, George Clooney. He spent five seasons on “ER” before blowing up the big screen in tons of iconic roles starting with “Three Kings” in 1999 -- but he’ll always be Doug Ross to us.
