AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Tuesday will be sunny and warm across Austin, but a chance of strong to severe storms will move through the area with a cold front before sunrise Wednesday.
Much of Travis, Williamson, and Bastrop counties are under a slight risk for severe storms according to the Storm Prediction Center - the second of five levels. The northern edge of Williamson County is in the enhanced risk zone.
Lots of lightning, large hail and strong winds are the key threats with a line of storms expected to build ahead of a cold front moving through the area. Storms will sweep from north to south between midnight and 6 a.m.
Once the front passes, Wednesday will be cooler and drier, before temperatures start heating up to end the week.
