AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- The Texas Department of Public Safety says it was forced to close driver license offices across the state early Monday due to a statewide outage.
DPS offices were already scheduled to be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for the New Year's holiday - meaning the earliest that appointments could be rescheduled is Thursday, Jan. 2.
In a post on social media, DPS said its staff is working to reschedule appointments with customers affected by the outage “as quickly as possible” and apologized for the inconvenience the outage caused.
