
Syracuse Football has been fined and reprimanded following their win at Clemson. The ACC says that the Orange had players faking injuries in the 4th quarter of the game, Saturday.
The league says two players faked injuries to stop the game and get an injury timeout, which is a violation of NCAA rules. The ACC office and other officials reviewed the issue.
They found that Syracuse was trying to circumvent the new injury timeout rules to be avoid being charged with using a timeout. The 25,000 dollar fine will go to a post grad scholarship fund. Syracuse beat Clemson 34-21.
It marks their 1st win over the Tigers since 2017 and just their 3rd win in 13 meetings all-time.
