Georgia native and Ohio State QB Prentiss "Air" Noland has announced he is transferring to play for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Noland redshirted this season at Ohio State.
Noland had offers from virtually everywhere and was heavily recruited by Clemson, Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Miami and others. Noland announced plans to leave Columbus, as it appears that the Buckeyes had other other plans at QB.
Noland starred at Langston Hughes High School and led the program to its 1st ever State Title in 2022. Current Gamecock QB LaNorris Sellers is in his 2nd year at South Carolina. He would be eligible to leave for the NFL after next season.
Air Noland will have four years of eligibility left after redshirting this season. He was rated as a 4 star prospect by 247 Sports while at Langston Hughes. Noland was ranked as the 7th best QB in the country in the class of 2024.
