The 2025 MLB season has officially come to an end and while the Los Angeles Dodgers were celebrating their second consecutive World Series on the west coast, the Atlanta Braves announced they selected Walt Weiss, who has been the club’s bench coach since 2018, as their new manager.

"I think he's capable, I think he's well respected in the clubhouse and obviously has put in time in the organization so the familiarity is there," 92-9 The Game Braves Insider, Grant McAuley said on Monday when he joined Carl Dukes and Mike Bell to share thoughts on Atlanta's managerial hire.

"With a managerial search and these kinds of things, it’s a very subjective set of circumstances and everybody I think feels some kind of way about what they feel like the Braves need, what they feel like they’re missing, I think for the Braves, this hire points to me that they’d like to have some continuity inside the four walls of their clubhouse, their managerial office and just about everything else they’re doing player, personnel wise,” McAuley said of the Braves hiring of Weiss.
