After a slow start Saturday, Clemson cruised to their 5th straight win after beating Wake Forest decisively in Winston-Salem. The Tigers gave up their first, 1st quarter points of the season and trailed at Wake Forest 7-0 after the opening frame.
Clemson came alive with 4 TD drives in the 2nd quarter and led 28-14 at the half. They would shut Wake Forest out, the rest of the way while scoring 21 unanswered to win 49-14.
Clemson racked up nearly 575 total yards including 228 on the ground. Running Back Phil Mafah had 108 yards and 2 TD's on 19 carries. QB Cade Klubnik threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD's.
The Tigers were plus 2 in the turnover margin. Clemson is now 5-1 on the season and 4-0 in ACC play. The Tigers host Virginia this Saturday for a noon kickoff.
