South Carolina Women's Basketball has claimed another SEC Title and did so in Greenville, which has become a home away from home for the program. The Gamecocks cruised to the conference title over the weekend at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
The Gamecocks won all their three of their SEC Tournament games by 18 or more points. That included a 19 point win over 2 seed Texas, a game in which SC controlled. South Carolina had four players in double figures.
Forward Chloe Kitts had a game high 15 points, she also grabbed 9 rebounds. Kitts was named Tournament MVP. South Carolina has now won their three straight SEC titles and five in the last six years. All of those have come in Greenville.
The Gamecocks will now look for back-to-back National Titles and their 3rd title in the last four seasons. The program now has 9 SEC Titles, all of those have come since 2014 and been under the direction of Coach Dawn Staley. That's 2nd only to Tennessee's 17 for the most all time.
