Huge 2nd half leads Clemson to blowout win in their ACC tourney opener

A tremendous 2nd half performance led Clemson to a win in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals from Greensboro, Thursday night. Clemson outscored NC State 41-18 after the halftime break to blowout the Wolfpack, 80-54.

Clemson shot 50% from the floor and 46% from three point range. They held NC State to 35% shooting overall and just 25% from long range. The Tigers had four in double figures Ian Schiefflin and PJ Hall had 15 points each. Chase Hunter added 11 points and 9 assists. Hunter Tyson had a double-double with 10 points and 12 boards.

The Tigers bolstered their NCAA Tournament resume getting their 23rd win of the year and downed NC State for the 3rd time this season. The Tigers take on Virginia in the ACC Tournament Semifinals Friday night at 930 PM. They'll look to avenge a 64-57 loss to the Cavaliers in Charlottesville on February 28th.
