Last second field goal wrecks Clemson's chances at GA Tech

Clemson fans are in somewhat unfamiliar territory after their last second loss, Saturday. Clemson's 24-21 loss to Georgia Tech in Atlanta is the program's 1st loss in the series since 2014 and just the second since 2011.

Georgia Tech struck 1st with a FG to lead 3-0 after the 1st. The Yellow Jackets then put together a drive capped by a 5 yard Jamal Haynes TD run, to go up 10-0. They then added another FG to lead 13-0.

Clemson got on the board with a Cade Klubnik TD run to make it 13-7 at the half. The Tigers took their only lead of the game on a 73 yard Klubnik TD pass to Bryant Wesco Jr. they added the extra point to make it 14-13.

Tech went up on a TD run by Tech QB Haynes King with 10 minutes left. They got the 2 point try to make it 21-14. Clemson put together a long scoring drive capped off by a TD run from Adam Randall. That tied the game at 21 with 3:26 left.

The Ramblin' Wreck then drove the field to set up a 55 yard FG from Aidan Birr as time expired to win it 24-21. That marks the longest game winning FG in program history.
