Multiple fights at an Upstate high school Friday night halted preseason football action. The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office says, there were multiple fights in the crowd at Greenwood High School that caused the stoppage of a jamboree.
The Sheriff's Office says multiple arrests were made and there were reports of shots fired. However, investigators did not find evidence to back up those claims in their initial investigation. The incident remains under investigation by the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office.
Greenwood is scheduled to open their season on Friday at A.C. Flora. Their first scheduled home game is August 26th, hosting Sandy Creek, Georgia.
