An NFL Quarterback is dead after being hit by a dump truck over the weekend. 24 year old, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins died Saturday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol says Haskins was walking in the roadway on a South Florida Highway when he was hit by a dump truck. There was no word on why Haskins was walking in the roadway, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Haskins was in South Florida training with the Steelers. Head Coach Mike Tomlin said "Dwyane quickly became a part of our Steelers family upon arriving in Pittsburgh. He was one of pur hardest workers on the field and in the community. Dwyane was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I'm Truly heart broken". Steeler teammate TJ Watt sent out the below tweet Saturday.
Haskins had a standout college career at Ohio State before being selected by Washington in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in Washington prior to signing with Pittsburg before last season.
