It was a tale of two halves on Friday when BHP hosted Seneca. The game had playoff implications as team jockey for postseason position. Seneca would lead the entire 1st half, at times as much as double digits. However, BHP would find its groove after the break and take control. The Bears would use a 34-8 2nd half advantage, to win 61-38.

Seneca's kicking game was on point, as Corbin Shirley hit three 1st quarter field goals. Shirley was good from 31,33, and 37 yards, as he would do all of Seneca's 1st quarter scoring. BHP would get a TD run by their QB Pendelton but fail the extra point, that would make the game 9-6 after the 1st.

The two offenses would start to heat up in the 2nd quarter, as they combined for 42 points. Seneca opened the 2nd quarter with a 28 yard TD run from Cansley Campbell. BHP countered with a TD run from Saheim Robbs to cut Seneca's lead to 16-13. Campbell would add another TD later in the 2nd quarter. BHP answered that with a TD run to make it 23-21. Both teams would score late in the 1st half. Seneca QB Jackson Burnette scored on a designed run, BHP scored with 15 seconds left in the half on a TD pass to Elijah Strickland. It was punch and counter punch into the break with Seneca leading 30-27 at half.

BHP seized momentum coming out of the halftime locker room. They got their 1st lead of the night on a second TD run by their QB Pendelton to go up 34-30. Later in the 3rd, they extended the lead to double digits on a TD run by Burns. BHP scored 14 unanswered in the 3rd to lead 41-30 after three.

Seneca would open the 4th with Campbell's 3rd TD run of the game, this one from 5 yards out. That cut the lead to 41-38 after the 2 point conversion. That would be all Seneca would get though. BHP would reel off 21 unanswered int he final 11 minutes. They would hit on a big play to score when Nevada Billups took a pass 52 yards to pay dirt. They added two TD runs in the final five minutes by Marquise Henderson to put it away at 61-38.

Henderson would finish with 147 rushing yards and 2 TD's on just 14 carries. Seneca would get three rushing scores from Campbell and 112 on 18 carries from RB Adrian Lewis. Seneca outgained BHP in total offense 436 to 414 but Seneca had nearly 60 yards in penalties. The loss moves Seneca to 5-4 on the season but 0-3 in region play. Seneca now has to beat Pendelton next week to get into the playoffs.
