Many of us who have been around high school hoops in South Carolina for years are still getting used to the changes and the new way that the SCHSL is doing things. Firstly, the Upper State, Lower State and State Finals all being held in Florence takes some getting used to. The other part to that is the Semifinal rounds take so much longer to play out, due to Upper and Lower State Finals all being played in the same place.
The Upper State round began last Thursday and did not wrap up until Wednesday night (they were no games on Sunday in that round). In the past, the Upper State and Lower State Finals were held the same weekend in different sites. Then it was about a 3 day process to determine the State finalists in each class.
Regardless, the State Finals are now set for Florence today (Thursday), tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday. The schedule is below.

2PM 2A Boys High Point vs Atlantic Collegiate
4PM 5A DII Girls Greenwood vs Berkeley
