The Kansas City Chiefs made history Sunday night winning their 2nd straight Super Bowl title in thrilling fashion. The Chiefs won on a Patrick Mahomes 3 yard TD pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime.

The game was all San Francisco early on, as they led 10-0 in the 1st half and 10-3 at the break. KC would score 10 unanswered points in the 3rd to take a 13-10 lead into the 4th. The 49ers then re-took the lead on a Brock Purdy TD pass .


The extra point try was blocked and they led 16-13 with 11 minutes left. Kansas City got a field goal to tie the game with 5:46 to go. San Francisco went up with 1:53 left on a 53 yard FG from Jake Moody.

Harrison Butker answered for the Chiefs hitting a 30 yarder with 3 seconds left to send it to OT. In the extra frame, The 49ers got another field goal from Moody to lead 22-19. Kansas City then went on a 13 play TD scoring drive to win it.

Patrick Mahomes was named MVP after throwing for 333 yards and 2 TD's, one the game-winner. It's the 3rd Super Bowl MVP award of his career. The Chiefs become the 1st team since the Patriots did it 20 years ago, to win Back to Back Titles.
