A multitude of turnovers led to Furman's blowout road loss over the weekend. The Paladins turned it over five times in their 52-7 defeat at Western Carolina. The Catamounts ripped off 24 straight points in the 2nd quarter to lead 24-0.

Furman got on the board with a Trey Hedden TD pass just before the half. That made it 24-7 Western Carolina at the break. WCU scored two more TD's in the 3rd to take a commanding 38-7 lead.

The Catamounts poured on two more scoring drives to make the final score 52-7. Furman QB Trey Hedden was responsible for four of the team's five turnovers on the game. Hedden threw three interceptions and had a fumble.
