Furman Men's Basketball finds itself with a chance to claim the SoCon Tournament Title Monday night in Asheville. Standing in their way will be Upstate rival the Wofford Terriers.
The Paladins knocked off the SoCon Regular Season Champs Chattanooga 80-77 in overtime, Sunday in the Semifinals. Furman is now 25-8 on the season and is making their 3rd SoCon Finals appearance in the last four seasons.
The 5th seeded Paladins handled Samford 95-78 on Saturday in the Quarterfinals. Wofford is the 6th seed in the tournament they downed three seed East Tennessee State on Saturday and then routed VMI 85-65, yesterday in the 2nd Semifinal.
The two teams split a pair of regular season meetings. The 3rd meeting will have a conference crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament hanging in the balance.
