Bears' Robert Tonyan (back) will play, Velus Jones Jr. inactive against Packers

CHICAGO (670 The Score) Bears tight end Robert Tonyan (back) is active and will play Sunday in the season opener against the Packers, while receiver Velus Jones Jr. and receiver Equanimeous St. Brown were healthy scratches.

Tonyan was added to the Bears' injury report Saturday with a back issue, but he'll play against his former team.

The Bears elected to carry five wide receivers and left Jones and St. Brown off their gameday roster. DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, Darnell Mooney, Tyler Scott and Trent Taylor are Chicago's five wide receivers.

The Bears' inactives also include quarterback Tyson Bagent, pass rusher Khalid Kareem, safety Quindell Johnson and tight end Stephen Carlson.

Packers receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) is active.

The Bears and the Packers kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT Sunday from Soldier Field.
