Services have been held to celebrate the life of a Greenville native and Grammy Award winning singer. As we previously reported, Peabo Bryson died earlier this month at the age of 75.
His family gathered privately to honor him on Father's Day. What they called a homegoing service was held Monday morning at Antioch Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Artists such as BeBe Winans, Regina Belle and Ruben Studdard all performed musical tributes. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations are made to the Peabo Bryson Scholarship Endowment at Morris Brown College in Atlanta.
