Police are now looking for another woman in a new video who they say is responsible for starting a fire that torched the Wendy’s on University Ave in southwest Atlanta.

Wendy's Rayshard Brooks-13

The fire occurred roughly 24 hours after Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed by an Atlanta police officer. Channel 2 reported that a viewer recorded a video on Saturday night that shows what appears to be a white woman in shorts with a ponytail spraying something into the flames at the restaurant.

The viral video was posted social media. (WARNING: Contains some language)

During a press conference this week, Atlanta Fire Department officials say that the fire started in several locations using various devious methods and devices. Officials shared investigators determined that there were ten attempts in setting the building on fire.

As the flames engulfed the quick service restaurant, news sources questioned why it took so long for the fire department to arrive. Atlanta Fire Chief Randal Slaughter says that fire trucks and up to 60 firefighters were prevented from getting to the fire. When the trucks finally arrived on the scene, Slaughter says he estimates there were several hundred people nearby, some were throwing debris at the firefighters and trucks while they were trying to control the fire.

Wendy’s CEO Todd Penegor issued a memo Sunday to employees and franchisees following the death of Rayshard Brooks.

Authorities previously announced a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of anyone connected to the fire. Recently, The State Arson control board offered an additional $10,000 reward in the case.  Anyone information about either suspects’ identity or whereabouts can call anonymously to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
