Expect to pay a little extra at restaurants when the World Cup crowd comes to town now that companies are adding automatic gratuity to dining tabs.
Restaurants are doing this because in a number of countries outside the United States, leaving a tip is not customary, and restaurants owners are trying to make sure that their staffs are fairly compensated for their hard work during the tournament rush.
Restaurants in other World Cup host cities, like in Boston and Kansas City, have done the same.
