2022 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL AWC

Three Rows for the Price of Two…and More!

But first let me ask…is the Mitsubishi Outlander on your radar…or is Mitsubishi on the wall in your den?

I ask because I want you to know that Mitsubishi is a genuine "Big Dog" in Japan.   Founded in 1870…before cars were even invented…and while they no longer make TVs, Mitsubishi makes everything from automobiles to satellites to multi-million-dollar heavy machinery.  They're actually one of the larger companies in the world.

And I say all this just to make the point that these guys have quite a history of success….and it appears that they intend to keep that record intact, as evidenced by their new Outlander SUV.

Re-designed for 2022 with a solid, muscular, squared-off look, the Outlander delivers three rows and considerable content for a very competitive price.

How competitive?

Try a window sticker that starts in the mid / high $20's.

And what do you get for that?

Again, three rows with room for seven…although the third row is best occupied by small people…18" alloys, push-button start, Apple and Android connectivity, forward crash mitigation, rear auto-braking and cross-traffic alerts and the expected blind spot alerts.   All standard on the lowest priced Outlander.

Power is from a 2.5 liter four with a continuously variable auto that's programmed to mimic an 8-speed automatic.

Want more?

Our test Outlander had just about everything that Mitsubishi offers and still was under 38 thousand.   It gave us 2-tone heated semi-aniline quilted leather fronts and rears, a sunroof, Bose premium sound, 20" alloys, heated steering, auto high beams, a heads-up display, 360 degree view, hands-free rear lift gate, parking sensors, all-wheel-drive…and even Mitsu-branded sill lighting.

Quiet and composed might sum up how Mitsubishi's '22 Outlander rolls…thanks in part to sound-deadening front double-pane glass.

All the above + Mitsu's 10-year / 100K limited warranty and 24 city MPG / 30 Highway make Mitsubishi's new-for-'22 three-row Outlander a dollar-stretching option in today's crowded market.
