High School Football Scoreboard Show Week 5 Pick-6 Rankings

7A – No changes at the top of 7A as both No. Collins Hill and Mill Creek picked up wins Friday night to remain unbeaten and maintain their respective positions in the 7A pick six. However, last week’s No. 3 Walton was handed their first loss of the season as they fell to West Forsyth, who returns at No. 6 51-35, dropping them out of the rankings. Last week’s No. 4 Lowndes was the only other team to suffer a loss as they fell to unbeaten Lee County 24-21, their second loss of the season and falling out of the top six teams. Both No. 3 Colquitt (previous No. 5) and No. 4 Roswell (previous No. 6) were winners on Friday and each jumped up two spots in the rankings. Returning to the top six at No. 5 is Milton coming off back to back wins off national opponents.

6A – Three of the six teams were idle on Friday, however No. 1 Buford and No. 2 Lee County were both in action and were both victorious in their match ups on Friday. The third team in action, Rome suffered a tough 34-0 loss to 7A No. 1 Collins Hill on Friday dropping them a spot to No. 5 and idle River Ridge moves into the No. 4 position. No. 3 Carrollton and No. 6 Westlake were also idle on Friday and remain in their respective positions in the top six.

5A – Two of the top six teams had to face off against one another on Friday as No. 4 Cartersville edged out last week’s No. 5 Creekside 17-14, dropping Creekside down to the No. 6 position.
No. 1 Ware County was not in action and remain at the top of the rankings, while No. 2 Warner Robins and No. 3 Coffee both had blowout victories and they remain in their respective positions. Woodward Academy had the week off but move up to No. 5 after Creekside’s loss slides them back to No. 6.

4A – A flawless week for the top six teams in the 6A Pick Six as all teams were winners in their match ups thus allowing each team to hold on to their respective positions from last week with Jefferson remaining on at top at No. 1

3A – No changes occurring in the 3A top six as four of the six teams were all idle on Friday, including No. 1 Oconee County, No. 2 Cedar Grove, No. 5 Monroe Area and No. 6 Thomson. No. 3 Appling County and No. 4 Sandy Creek, the only two teams in competition on Friday were both winners on the night.

2A – All six teams in 2A were in action and were all victorious, so all positions remain the same in the classification.

1A Public – Both No. 1 Macon County, No. 2 Metter, and No. 3 Irwin were all winners on Friday and remain in the exact same positions as last week. However, last week’s No. 4 Lincoln and No. 5 Pelham both suffered losses and both fell out of the top six. Last week’s No. 5 Bowdon was also winners on Friday and move up to No. 4 and newcomers, Montgomery County, who is off to a 3-0 start, comes in at No. 5 and Washington-Wilkes comes in at No. 6 to round out the top six after their 36-14 win over Warren County.

1A Private – Two of the top six teams in 1A Private found themselves facing off as No. 2 Calvary Day would take down last week’s No. 4 North Cobb Christian, dropping them out of the top six as they dropped to 2-2 on the season. Fellowship Christian rebounded from their loss to Trinity Christian with a big win over B.E.S.T. Academy moving them into the No. 4 spot. Wesleyan moves up a spot to No. 5 despite being idle thanks to the North Cobb Christian loss and Prince Avenue returns to the top six at No. 6 after picking up a big win over Holy Innocents.
