While the Atlanta Falcons made national headlines, and rightfully so, for the play of their defense in Sunday night's 22-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings, the play of their offensive line was worth some praise for their Week 2 turnaround as well, particularly in the run game as the Falcons finished with 218 rushing yards.
On Wednesday, Falcons head coach, Raheem Morris, joined 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared his thoughts on Sunday's win and explained he had a conversation with his offensive linemen following their Week 1 performance.
"I think it's just more of being honest with your guys," Morris said as discussed speaking with the o-line about how they played in the season opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "When I talk to you guys I'm really transparent and talked about the disappointment and we got more they hear it, I tell them that in the meetings," Morris continued.
"These guys, they don't want to disappoint and they've got so much confidence in there leadership with Jake [Matthews] and Lindstrom and it just goes through that room. They've got so much pride," Morris said of the linemen and coaching staff and their efforts to improve.
"When you let them know that you're disappointed in how they played and that we can play better, they're going to show up and that's what they did," Morris said
