All Jim Ellis Automotive dealerships will be closed Wednesday in honor of the company's President and CEO. James "Jimmy" Ellis died on November 5, 2022, at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. He was 67. The dealerships will be open on Thursday.
The Ellis Automotive Group consists of nearly two dozen dealerships throughout metro Atlanta. Ellis became chief operating officer of the company founded by his father in the early 1990s. He rose to President and CEO in 2015.
Ellis' funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 9, at Johns Creek Baptist Church. Visitation is Tuesday, November 8, at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Peachtree Corners.
A cause of death has not been released. The family is asking that donations be made to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
