NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A box truck slammed into an MTA bus, slightly injuring three people, on the Upper East Side Thursday morning, according to police.
The bus was forced to stop in the street at the East 85th Street and Lexington Avenue bus stop just before 9 a.m. because a box truck was illegally parked in the bus lane, officials said.
Another box truck attempted to pull around the bus, but the turn was too tight and the truck crashed into the bus.
The bus driver, truck driver and a bus passenger all suffered minor injuries. The bus driver was brought to a local hospital for treatment.
