The doctor was in, for one last time! SCORRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE!
Mike “Doc” Emrick, perhaps THE greatest hockey announcer of all-time, announced earlier this week that he was hanging up his headset and leaving the broadcast booth after calling Tampa Bay’s Stanley Cup win earlier this month.
Doc is no stranger to the New York-area airwaves, both for those watching hockey nationally and those who watched him as the voice of the Devils from 1983-86 and 1993-2011, and he made one last appearance Wednesday by joining Moose and Maggie to talk about his storied career.
You can check out a select cut of that appearance above, check out another long-form interview from Chicago in the below Facebook post, or hear full audio of Doc, Moose, and Mags below!
(P.S. Also check out more on-demand audio from Moose & Maggie, or tune in every day to the WFAN.com or Twitch.TV/WFAN livestreams of the show, too!)
