Chris Kreider hilariously disinterested in talking about becoming top five scorer in Rangers history

Chris Kreider tallied two goals in the Rangers’ 6-3 win over the Lightning on Wednesday night, helping the New York veteran pass Vic Hadfield for the fifth-most career goals in franchise history.

Asked about the accomplishment after the game, Kreider couldn’t have made it much clearer that he had no focus on the milestone, and instead just wanted to keep his focus on the next task as hand, which was the Blues on Thursday night.

“We've got St. Louis tomorrow,” Kreider said after shrugging and shaking his head.

Kreider has never shown the slightest desire to discuss personal accomplishments despite his decorated Blueshirts career. The lifelong Ranger poured in a career-high 52 goals last season and helped New York to an Eastern Conference Final appearance, and has 35 goals so far this season. But even if he climbs higher on the franchise leaderboard, don’t expect him to say much about it, if anything at all.
