Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Shortly after the NFL's free agent negotiating period officially opened at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, the Buffalo Bills had come to terms with their first free agent of the offseason.

Shortly after NFL Free Agency officially opened at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, the Bills signed free agent guard Connor McGovern to a three-year deal worth a reported $23 million. NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo was the first to report the signing.
McGovern spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys after drafting him in the third round (90th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Penn State University.
After missing his first NFL season with a torn pectoral muscle, McGovern played a total of 45 games with the Cowboys, starting 29 of them, including all 15 games he suited up for this past year.

The 25-year-old should step in and compete for one of the two starting guard positions on the Bills' offensive line this training camp and preseason.
