Dawkins: There were moments I thought I wouldn't make it through COVID-19

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins is still working his way back from a serious case of COVID-19

Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins missed almost three weeks of practice at the start of training camp after landing on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on July 28.

We learned on Tuesday that not only did Dawkins test positive for COVID-19, he was hospitalized for four days.

Dawkins, who was days away from being considered fully vaccinated, outlined what he's been dealing with over the last few weeks.

"It was one of the lowest points that I've ever been. I'd never thought I could even get that low, because I'm so animated," Dawkins said with the media following Tuesday's practice in Orchard Park.

"I was in the hospital for, like, four days. They had me up, fluids, just trying to get me back. If there was a checklist, it was everything. It was shortness of breath, it was the hot and cold, the cough, everything."
