Philadelphia, Pa. (94WIP/WGR 550) - The Philadelphia Eagles are going to Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona.

A season that has been special from the very beginning will have a chance to end with a parade down Broad Street as a result of the Eagles’ 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game.

The Eagles will play the winner of Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, which kicked off after the Eagles' win over San Francisco.

Although the game got off to an ugly start, the Eagles took a 7-0 lead after the first possession and then a 21-7 lead into halftime.

In, what was, the game many considered their toughest test of the season, the Eagles answered the challenge in a major way in a dominating win. It was helped that the 49ers lost starting quarterback Brock Purdy on the opening drive to an elbow injury, leading to fourth-string quarterback Josh Johnson taking over.

Even with Purdy, though, the Eagles might have won by the same margin. The offensive and defensive lines dominated, giving the Eagles a major edge on both sides of the ball.

Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, Haason Reddick, DeVonta Smith — the Eagles' best players stepped up and made plays on the biggest stage to help them clinch the NFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl.

So what will the next two weeks look like?

The Eagles will be spending the next week in Philadelphia before likely leaving for Arizona next Sunday. The week will be crucial for preparing for the game, as once they arrive in Arizona, they will officially arrive in the circus that is the Super Bowl.

They will take part in Media Night the Monday after they arrive in Arizona before beginning a week that will see some practice time, but also lots of media obligations.

Finally, they will kickoff Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 12th at 6:30 p.m. EST.

The Eagles’ trip to the Super Bowl will be their second in six season, as they went to, and won the Super Bowl in 2017. The Eagles enter this year’s game as a very different team, as the group that won it in 2017 entered each playoff game as underdogs and captured the Lombardi Trophy with a backup at quarterback.

Seven players from that 2017 team are still on the roster.

This year, the Eagles enter Super Bowl LVII as a juggernaut that has handled every obstacle thrown their way. They have been favorites in nearly every game this season, including both games in the playoffs, and could very well be the favorite two weeks from now in Arizona.

This year’s group has their MVP-caliber quarterback healthy. They have a dominant offensive line. They have a dominant defensive line. They have a top-five offense. They have a top-five defense.

They have everything needed to end, what could be, the best season in Eagles’ franchise history with a Super Bowl victory.

They are just one win away from making it happen.
