(WWJ) A $1 billion ballot proposal is among the many decisions to be made on Election Day this Tuesday.
While it doesn't bring the excitement of a presidential election year, there are still plenty of important decisions to be made.
For instance, voters in the Ann Arbor School District will be asked to decide the one billion dollar question.
Mayors races and city council seats will also be voted on Tuesday, as will several proposals dealing with marijuana establishments, roads and city charters.
Polls are open 7a.m. until 8 p.m.
There are mayor's races in Berkley, Clawson, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Madison Heights, Northville, Novi, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, South Lyon, Troy. Keego Harbor and Walled Lake are asking resident if there should be regulations on the sale of marijuana. 5 school districts have tax proposals before voters.

It's also election day for 24 communities in Wayne County, including the Grosse Pointes, Livonia and Dearborn Heights.
Voters will elect new mayors in Allen Park, Flat Rock, Livonia and Melvindale as the current mayors are not running. Mayors, city council members, clerks and treasurers will also be elected.

Residents in 11 cities in Macomb County will be deciding on city leaders and a few school proposals today. There are mayors races in Warren, New Baltimore, Mount Clemens, Memphis and Eastpointe. Warren Mayor Jim Fouts faces a challenge from Kelly Colegio.
