TROY, MI - Emagine in Canton will soon be the home to the largest Cinemascope screen in the midwest.
The location, that opened in 2004, will house the 94-foot Super EMax CinemaScope. The grand opening of the new screen will happen in December, during the first showing of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.
The 4K projection will be paired with a Dolby sound system that will make movies more immersive than ever.
Paul Glantz, Chairman of Emagine Entertainment, is confident that his company is leading the charge in terms of creating the best atmosphere for film fanatics.
“While some competitors are closing and others struggle to play catch-up, Emagine remains firmly committed to providing its guests with the finest moviegoing experience possible. We are resolved to continually enhance the quality of the theatrical experience. Nothing beats watching a blockbuster film on a 94 foot screen from the comfort of a heated reclining chair."
