DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for a suspect after a 24-year-old man was shot in the neck and carjacked on Detroit's east side.
The incident happened early Wednesday morning near Harper and Conner, where the man was parked. Police say a suspect approached the vehicle and fired a shot, striking the victim in the neck.
The gunman then drove off in the victim's Buick, which has no hubcaps, tape over the driver's side headlight, and a blown-out driver's side window.
The victim was taken to the hospital; his current condition is unknown, but he's expected to be OK.
At this time, police have no information about the suspect.
