PONTIAC (WWJ) - Longtime Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson died Saturday morning at the age of 80 amid a battle with pancreatic cancer.
County officials say visitation and funeral arrangements are pending. The public will expectedly be invited to attend at least a portion of the services.
Memorial donations may be made to The Rainbow Connection, a Rochester-based organization Patterson founded to grant wishes to terminally ill children in Michigan. The Rainbow Connection has granted more than 3,500 wishes. To make a donation, visit rainbowconnection.org or call 248-601-9474.
