(WWJ) Detroit police are searching for suspects after two young women were wounded in a double shooting on the city's northwest side.
According to investigators, the victims -- ages 19 and 21 -- were delivering food in the 19100 block of Oakfield, near 7 Mile Rd, and the Southfield Freeway at around 3 p.m. Tuesday when two unknown suspects fired shots, striking both of them.
The 21-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital were she was listed in serous condition, while the 19-year-old suffered a graze wound and refused medical treatment.
Earlier, police said the shooters fled the area in a white minivan, but investigators how believe the suspect vehicle is a red small-to mid-size sedan.
At motive for the shooting is unclear, as the investigation continues.
