WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - A bit of bad luck struck a business in Detroit after arson suspects lit a fire by throwing Molotov cocktails and setting the building ablaze.
According to police, a deadly shooting had just occurred at the same address on the 16100 block of Meyers only two days before the fire broke out on February 26.
Police said cops were dispatched around 2:39 a.m. after the fire was reported. A review of surveillance video showed three suspects walking up to the business before igniting several Molotov cocktails.
The three suspects then began smashing the bottles against the building, setting it on fire.
Police said the suspects then left the scene.
Whether the blaze is connected to the fatal shooting remains unclear and no other details about the crime were released.
