(WWJ) A construction worker is hospitalized, but alive, after he fell off a roof while on the job in Pontiac.
Deputies and Star EMS responded to the M-1 Concourse, on W. South Boulevard in Pontiac, Wednesday afternoon on a report of a worker who had tumbled from a roof around 30 feet to the ground.
The 47-year-old Holt man was breathing but unconscious, the 911 caller said.
Deputies and EMS responded to the scene, and the man was rushed to St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital for treatment.
The sheriff's office said the man was listed in critical condition, but is currently stable and is expected to make a recovery.
Deputies investigated at the scene. The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) was also contacted, responded, and completed a report.
Construction is ongoing on an expansion at M-1 Concourse, a private garage facility and performance racetrack, to include a motor sports-themed restaurant and events center.
